Ages of Dominion is a static marketing site for an indie strategy game. This page explains what data we collect, where, and why.

a. This Website (ages-of-dominion.blueforge.studio)

This site is a static Astro build served over HTTPS. We do not run any analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts on the marketing pages. Server logs from our hosting provider (Netlify) record standard request metadata (IP address, requested URL, response status, user agent) for operational purposes — abuse prevention and capacity planning. Logs are retained for 30 days and never shared.

b. The Game Client (when released)

When you launch the game and connect to multiplayer services, we collect the data needed to operate matchmaking and gameplay: an account identifier, match results for skill rating (Glicko-2), and gameplay events for crash diagnostics. Telemetry is opt-out via in-game settings and is never used for advertising.

2. Cookies

This site uses no cookies. When the game launches, it may use first-party cookies or local storage for session management; details will be in the in-client privacy notice at that time.

3. Third-Party Services

We link to GitHub, Twitter/X, and Discord from the footer. Those services have their own privacy policies. We do not embed their scripts on this site.

4. Data Retention

Server logs: 30 days. Account data (when launched): retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure request. Match results and ratings: retained for the life of the ladder season.

5. Your Rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of any data we hold about you. Email admin@blueforge.studio and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Changes

We will update this page and bump the date above if our practices change in a material way.
